Our goal this year is to become good writers.  We will strive to improve our writing skills by learning the conventions of proper English grammar, expanding our vocabulary, and practicing our composition.

June's Monthly Theme:  Faithfulness

"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible."
(St. Francis of Assisi)

***Announcement***

Students will be coming home with the following information
on Thursday, 6/22
:
- End-of-the-Year Report Card
- T3 grade sheet listing all grades for the third trimester
- Letter from Mrs. St. John regarding the beginning of the next school year
- Calendar for 9/2017 and 10/2017 marked with important dates
- Medical forms from Mrs. Keating

6th Grade End-of-the-Year Grading
As you review your child's final report card, please note that the grade that appears in the T3 box for the four major subjects is the final end-of-the-year grade for that subject (ELA, Science, Social Studies, and Math).
This cumulative grade is obtained by taking each marking period grade
(T1, T2, and T3) and counting it twice then adding the final exam grade.
That total is divided by 7 to determine the final grade.
Students are bringing home a paper with their T3 grades on Thursday, 6/22, as Power School is now closed for this school year.

Have a safe and wonderful summer!
