I have been a member of the St. Agnes Cathedral Parish since my family moved to Rockville Centre from Queens. My five daughters attended St. Agnes, were altar servers, sang in the choir, performed in drama productions, and participated in after-school enrichment activities and Girl Scouts. I was a member of Mothers' Club and volunteered for the Home School Association and the music ministry.
It has been a privilege and a blessing to serve the children of my parish school for the past eleven years as a reading support teacher. I hold a Master of Science in Education from St. John's University with an area of concentration in Teaching of Literacy, Birth through Grade 6. Upon graduation from St. John's, I was a diagnostician at St. John's Reading and Writing Education Center where I assessed and diagnosed children with difficulties with word recognition, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and writing. In addition, I am a member of The Nassau Reading Council.
After completing the necessary coursework for my New York State Certification in Literacy, I focused my continuing education on my faith and earned an Advanced Certificate in Religious Studies from the Office of Faith Formation of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
