Hello! My name is Ms. Lenihan and I will be teaching 6th grade Math and Health (6-1 & 6-4). Before relocating to Long Island, I taught 5th-8th Grade Math at Saints John and Paul School for 3 years! I love teaching middle school and I’m looking forward teaching the 6th grade class at St. Agnes Cathedral School.
This year in 6th grade math class, we will be successful at learning many new topics.
Together we will master various topics such as Ratios and Rates, Decimals, Fractions, Precents, Computation with Mutil-Digit Numbers, and Multiplying and Dividing Fractions. I look forward to teaching the 6th grade students all about topics such as Integers and the Coordinate Plane, Expressions, Equations, Functions and Inequalities, Area, Volume, Statistical Measures and Displays!
We will learn these new math skills and access our prior knowledge in math while continuing to foster our ever growing relationship with God. I am so blessed to be able to share my love of education with all of you!

Dear God,
As we journey through this school year, we turn to Mary, our Blessed Mother, for guidance and inspiration.
We ask that Mary, who shows us the way to Jesus with her loving heart and gentle spirit, help us follow her example in our daily lives.
May she lead us to be kind, caring, and wise.
Help us to listen to her teachings and strive to live out the values of faith, hope, and love in all we do.
With Mary's help, may we grow closer to You and shine brightly as reflections of Your love.

Math Curriculum
In Math class, we will be learning about Geometry. We will focus on finding the area of a parallelogram, triangle, and composite figures.
Coming up in the curriculum is computation of fractions and decimals.Please check Google Classroom for upcoming assessments, projects, class notes, and daily assignments.

Health CurriculumIn Health, we will work on building new healthy habits!Some topics we will focus on aredeveloping healthy mindsets, nutrition, physical health and metal health to help us tackle this school year!
