Dear St. Agnes Cathedral Parishioners and Families of St. Agnes Cathedral School,
While attending Mass at St. Agnes Cathedral, look around and you will find young children, new families, empty nesters, senior citizens, all praying under one roof. Seniors feeding off of the energy of the youngsters, budding in their faith. Young children admiring the adult parishioners, steadfast in their faith. The whole spectrum of life is represented at every Mass and this is a direct result of having St. Agnes Cathedral School connected to the Parish. Our school enriches the parish life at St. Agnes Cathedral throughout the year.
Since the world was hit with the pandemic, St. Agnes Cathedral School has adapted to the constant changes in order to exceed the Department of Health and CDC guidelines. While the pandemic has forced us to focus on the present, we continue planning for our school’s future. Unfortunately, we cannot host our annual Dinner Dance, the school’s primary operating budget fundraiser. Therefore, in place of the Dinner Dance, the School Board and Administration have launched an appeal for 2021: ACTION Today, Build for Tomorrow. We ask you for your financial support with the goal of achieving 100% school participation.
Integrating our faith-based curriculum with leading edge technology, St. Agnes Cathedral school’s mission and philosophy are to make saints of our students while preparing them to be the leaders of tomorrow. The Administration and School Board are focused on the school’s mission and philosophy and being fiscally responsible.
St. Agnes Cathedral School remains committed to in-person learning, five days per week! Our dedicated teachers, faculty and staff sacrificed several personal days this summer to prepare for a smooth transition of our academic year which started on-time and in-person. Every student was given an iPad at the start of the school year, empowering our teachers to teach in-person or to pivot to remote learning when necessary. Every day starts and ends with prayer.
We hope that our strong operating performance during the pandemic assures you that your generous donation will be well-spent on tools, technology, and talent that will directly benefit each student’s academic experience at St. Agnes Cathedral School.
St. Agnes, pray for us.
Mrs. Cecilia St. John, Principal
Mrs. Kerry Davi, School Board President
